On November 8, 2016, through a Presidential election process that was manipulated by the GOP and Russia, Donald J. Trump became the 45th President of the United States.
While I will always respect the office of the President, Trump and the GOP have given voice to numerous un-American beliefs.
I oppose him, and his party, on that basis, and I am not alone.

Dear Rachel,Thank you for not forgetting us, the 99'ers. Believe me when I tell you that no one who is unemployed wants to be. By virtue of the fact that in order to obtain unemployment to begin with it only means that it was thru no fault of our own. This President has much to learn about leadership and it is apparent to me he has no experience doing so. Being a leader is not easy, it means putting yourself and your beliefs at risk. Yes you'll make mistakes and you may be criticized but at the end of the day you'll know you did the right thing. Instead he caves into the GOP and signs a bill granting a two year tax reprieve for the wealthiest Americans but the people who suffered the longest and hardest get nothing. I find it ironic that not one person or firm that was responsible for the meltdown of 2008 is in jail. In any case, thank you for not forgetting us.
