Unemployment: The 99ers

  1. I have been out of work 99+ weeks. I live in a small south western coal mining town that is fast becoming a ghost town. What are we to do? There are absolutely no jobs here. I have all but pleaded...NONE...I have even applied for part time, no benefits, but nothing. No interviews, but I am 59 years old and have 16 years experience in my field. No tell me again that age discrimination is illegal!!!! YOU tell me what I am supposed to do. I have NO income what so ever and no hopes of any.. I will be living in a cardboard box if something isn't done and fast. I payed into this for over 20 years and 99 weeks is all I can get??? This is so unfair. They closed the facility where I worked so this is no fault of mine. I nevr ask for any of this but would appreciate help in the worst way....
